Category AM gives you the right to ride mopeds and light quadricycles that fall within the specifications laid down for the category.
In everyday language you will often hear AM described as “the 50cc licence”. What matters legally, however, is not the engine size alone but the official category and the technical characteristics of the specific vehicle.

Who can obtain AM?
From age 16
Category AM can be obtained once you have reached the age of 16, provided the conditions laid down are met.
Are you under 18?
For an underage candidate there are additional requirements relating to the participation and consent of the legal guardian during the procedure. We explain exactly what is needed before your file is opened.

How much does an AM licence cost?
The cost of training depends on whether this is a first licence or an extension of an existing one. Contact us for a detailed quote for your own case.
