What can I ride with an A1 licence?
Category A1 covers motorcycles with a maximum engine size of 125cc, a maximum power of 11 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of up to 0.1 kW/kg, in line with the specifications laid down for the category.
In everyday language A1 is described as “the 125 licence”. What matters, though, is whether the specific vehicle meets all of the category's specifications.

Requirements
Who can obtain A1?
From age 18
Category A1 can be obtained once you have reached the age of 18, provided the conditions laid down are met.
A1 or code 121?
A1 is a normal licence category with no national geographical restriction. Code 121 is a national code added to category B, under specific conditions, which allows you to ride A1 vehicles within Greece only. Code 121 is not the same thing as obtaining a normal A1 licence.

Practical training
Practical training for A1
Category A1 requires practical training on the school's own A1 motorcycles. It starts on the dedicated training area with machine control and the required manoeuvres and, depending on the stage, continues in real traffic conditions.
