A2 has no specific engine size limit. What determines whether a motorcycle belongs to the category is mainly its power and its other technical characteristics.
Note: an A2 motorcycle that has been derived from a conversion must not come from a vehicle whose original power was more than double the power permitted for the category.

What can I ride with an A2 licence?
With A2 you can ride motorcycles with a maximum power of 35 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of up to 0.2 kW/kg, provided they also meet the other specifications of the category.
Unlike A1, A2 is not defined by a specific engine size. So if you already have a particular bike in mind, we can check whether it is covered by A2.

Who can obtain A2?
From age 20
Category A2 can be obtained once you have reached the age of 20, provided the conditions laid down are met.
Already hold AM or A1?
If you already hold a motorcycle category, you do not start again from the beginning: 7 practical lessons and the practical examination follow, with no new theory training and no new theory examination.
